Rolls-Royce 103EX

The Rolls-Royce 103EX concept was created in 2016 to celebrate BMW’s centenary, one of several prototypes unveiled at the time. BMW has of course owned Rolls-Royce Motor Cars since 2003.

The actual concept car (below) had debateable looks – the debate mostly being about whether it was ugly or hideous – but the development sketches released at the time show what could have been. They depict a sleek, ostentatious car as far removed from the oddly proportioned vehicle that emerged as a greyhound is from a bulldog.

The signature is hard to decipher, but the artwork looks to be the work of exterior designer Henry Cloke.
